Solas Shattered Heart | Acrylic & Resin Texture Painting

A heart that bears scars and, through them, reveals its unique strength. Solas Shattered Heart combines intense red and deep black with warm gold and brown tones to create an expressive piece full of texture and symbolism.

At the center lies the vibrant red heart beneath a glossy layer of resin. Beneath this, a deliberately crafted, cracked surface emerges, reminiscent of a broken heart behind glass. The sculpted golden border further lifts the heart from the canvas. Gold leaf accents run through the composition, meeting the striking vertical structures of the background, causing the work to appear different depending on the light.

Shattered Heart speaks of more than just vulnerability. The cracks can also represent experiences that leave their mark without making anything less valuable. The bold red feels vivid and emotional, while black gives the motif depth, and gold lends it warmth and a sense of preciousness. The result is a painting about love, fractures, strength, and moving forward with the traces of what once was.
